The 2nd Annual Westbeach Chinese Downhill took place on Feb 24th 2009 with over 80 riders in attendance. The race conditions were soft and the competition tough with underdog Josh Lappo beating out favoured riders for a winning time of 8:32. Josh took home $500 cash and a Westbeach Texas mickey. A Colorado local and longtime fixture in the Breckenridge snowboard scene, Andrew Houston is a Denver film school graduate. His award winning short film, "Ropies", was displayed at the Video Hole launch party thrown in Oceanside, CA on Oct 8 by Beta Unit.
